Cooking equipment had advanced significantly since it was first created, thus, outdated cast iron pans and pots that had been a favourite kitchenware earlier have been completely left forgotten because of the improvement of contemporary styles of catering equipment that is more lightweight. On the other hand, you'll find a variety of other added benefits involving cast iron catering equipment which other kitchenware usually do not offer.
Seasoning cast iron cookware
Among the many disadvantages connected with using cast iron kitchenware is that you basically have to season it every time you wish to cook on it making sure that it will not end up getting rusty. On the other hand, seasoning the particular catering equipment, can certainly generate a non-stick coating which experts claim fashionable catering equipment won't be able to be at par with.
Seasoning a cookware is simple. Before anything else you have to really clean your incredible catering equipment using a gentle soap along with tepid to warm water. Once it's actually dried up, apply corn oil or sometimes lard into the cast iron cooking equipment. Manage this routine before you start to cook dinner and as soon as you are storing one's own cast iron cookware.
Regulated heating temperature
An additional benefit of cast iron catering equipment is that the cookware can certainly disseminate warmth evenly compared to many other materials. By using cast iron kitchenware, you are able to cook food evenly and more competently than before, saving you time in creating a burn-free meal. Cast iron cooking equipment is perfect for preparing chicken eggs, stir frying greens or just almost everything which calls for proficient heat control while preparing food.
A particularly sturdy kitchenware
Cast iron is a form of heavy steel which in regular cooking situations, is practically unbreakable. It's really a variety of cooking equipment that may be handed down to family members yet still function the way since it was initially procured flawlessly.
Less expensive than the majority of cooking equipment available in the market
Since you may have observed, Teflon cookware is extremely steeply-priced mainly because of the non-stick covering it possesses. You can actually obtain the exact impact by getting an actual cast iron cookware then spending your time in seasoning the item each and every day. The end product is a far more inherent non-stick covering on just a less expensive fee compared to teflon kitchenware.
Experience health gains
Although Teflon-coated kitchenware typically develop carcinogenic compounds, cast iron cookware, alternatively, other than actually being non-stick is known to generate harmless levels of iron.
Our system needs iron since it's necessary for the blood flow since it aids you to transport oxygen all through our bodies. Lowered iron means blood circulation all over your body will not be satisfactory, triggering an individual to wind up exhausted all too often, and sometimes end up getting migraines.

At Cage Warriors in Dubai over the weekend, Sheila Gaff knocked out Jennifer Maia in 10 seconds. The catch? Gaff started swinging when Maia had her hand outstretched to touch gloves. Watch it here:
The first rule of MMA is protect yourself at all times. What Gaff did was not outside the bounds of the rules. Even when Maia had her hand extended, she should have been ready to block any strikes that Gaff sent her way.
But did Gaff show poor sportsmanship? You tell us your opinion in the comments, on Facebook or on Twitter.

What would MMA do without Steven Seagal? Obviously, Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida would not be the fighters they are without the sensei/movie star/border patrol agent/shooting-glasses-wearer/writer/director. Seagal talked about how important he is to MMA on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Skip to a minute in to hear him talk about the skills he imparts to his students.
He will probably be an eighth-degree black belt one day, but come on. He can't teach Silva and Machida everything he knows.

Brandon Saling, the registered sexual offender fighter with a neo-Nazi tattoo who lost to Roger Bowling at Strikeforce on Saturday, had his license revoked in Ohio and New Jersey. According to the Ohio Athletic Commission, he falsified his application, answering "no" when asked if he had a criminal background.
Though having a background as a sex offender and championing the ideology of Adolf Hitler is reprehensible, it's not enough to necessarily keep someone from fighting. Lying, on the other hand, will get you bounced. Bernie Profato, the head of the OAC, talked to MMA Junkie about the matter:
"There's a dual thing there," Profato said. "He'll have to answer to the falsification, and two, if you read the law, it says they don't have to license you for a felony. Now, it will be whether they ever license him again because of being listed as a sexual predator."
Saling has two separate convictions: one of gross sexual imposition in 2004 and a domestic violence charge in 2008. He started fighting in 2008 and has a pro record of 8-6. He can appeal the OAC's decision at a hearing on April 11. UFC president Dana White commented that Saling might want to find another line of work.

MMA's ties with NCAA wrestling were evident on Saturday, as Randy Couture, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley presented awards and several other fighters were in the stands cheering on the wrestlers. The mats were filled with future fighters. Not all have professed an interest in making the jump to MMA, but here are the ones I hope will make the jump at some point, whether it's as soon as they graduate or after making a run towards Olympic gold.
Kyle Dake, Cornell -- Because even though he already has three national titles under his belt, Dake is still growing and getting better. He has jumped a weight class every year, and dominated every new weight. Rumor has it that Dake is headed to medical school, so cagefighting probably isn't in his future. It's still fun to dream, right?
David Taylor, Penn State -- The sophomore pinned his way to the finals, then finished off his Most Outstanding Wrestler award-winning performance with a technical fall. His smooth takedowns had opponents on the ground before they knew what happened.
Tony Ramos, Iowa -- Another sophomore, Ramos won his third-place match by coming from out of nowhere to pin Minnesota's Chris Dardanes. At 133 lbs, his size and speed could find a home a fly or bantamweight.
Jordan Oliver, Oklahoma State -- He may have lost his final on a controversial call, but that doesn't take away the junior's accomplishments in the tournament. He pinned his way to the final with a nasty takedown that could wreak havoc in the cage.
Christopher Honeycutt, Edinboro -- The runner-up at 197 lbs. has already indicated his plans to go into MMA, and opponents will have a hard time dealing with his strength and size. He told reporters that he is fascinated by the challenge of mastering so many disciplines of MMA, and won't be the first Fighting Scot to try fighting. Josh Koscheck won a national championship for Edinboro.
Did I miss anybody? Disagree with these choices? Speak your mind in the comments, on Facebook or on Twitter.

As we near Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen's bout in Brazil this summer, the trash talk between the two will undoubtedly heat up, right? Well, maybe not. Maybe Sonnen, after saying he stole Silva's middleweight championship belt and offering to beat advice out of him, had a change of heart. He offered an apology in a segment on Fuel's "UFC Tonight." (Some mild NSFW language at the end.)
Oh thank goodness. He's still the Chael we know and love/hate.

After a four-year-hiatus away from the snowboarding culture, the perpetual winner, Kevin Jones, returns in Bluebird's Dobre Hombres. At the height of his career, Jones had won virtually every major snowboarding contest and reached a level of fame that soon became too much for the man. Before long, he was burnt out on the sport and spent four years focusing on another love of his – fly fishing. But fishing could only feed the beast for so long, and now, his hunger to shred pow is back with a vengeance. Watch his full part below and click here to get the full movie.

Welcome to another edition of Reader Rants, where your opinions take center stage. Taken from the Cagewriter Facebook page, each rant comes from a Cagereader. If you want to join in, go to Cagewriter's Facebook page, like it, and comment on stories.
No opponent has yet been named for Jose Aldo's title bout in Calgary. One reader wants to see him try out lightweight instead.
I'd like to see him test the waters at 155, a la Anderson vs Irvin/Griffin. I think he would be the most likely candidate for a concurrent belt holder. (Jones at HW is ridiculous. He is an awesome, absolutely spectacular fighter, but his frame is not that of a HW.) -- John Wilcox
Friday night's "The Ultimate Fighter" quick ending also caused a reaction.
I don't like abusing the term "got caught" when referring to a fighter being stopped via KO or submission, but that's exactly what happened to Daron Cruikshank. I appreciate what James Vick pulled off, but I can't unequivocally say he's the better fighter. -- Brandon Artiles
But nothing inspired more comments than Sheila Gaff's knockout of Jennifer Maia. When Maia raised her hand to touch gloves, Gaff started swinging.
They touched gloves earlier. It should be discussed before the fight if they will touch gloves at 1st round. For all we know, she had her arm outstretched to size up distance. I doubt it, but we have no clue what was going through her head. Maybe they decided to touch gloves at the beginning of the round and the other girl screwed her over, who knows? -- Will Howard
She was totally in the right throwing that punch. The referee says 2 things at the start of the fight "obey my commands at all times" and "protect yourselves at all times". Touching gloves should be outlawed once the fight begins, it causes too many of these issues (Wes Sims v Frank Mir 1). It also puts the fighters at a disadvantage. If they touch gloves they give up their range, if they don't it's perceived as poor sportsmanship when all they're doing is following referee instructions. -- Ellis Lett Garnette
The bell rang, it was on. Yes, touching gloves is a classy thing to do but it is a tactical decision that came back to bite her. That said, it was a cheap shot. -- Nick Sicinski

Remember Brandon Saling, the guy who Roger Bowling beat into a pulp at Saturday's Strikeforce card? The one with good stand-up, but no ground game? The one with the neo-Nazi tattoo and the rape conviction?
Let's start with the tattoo. The number 88 and lightning bolts are on Saling's left shoulder. What does that mean, Center for Democratic Renewal and Education?
88 is the symbol that represents 'Heil Hitler.' H is the eighth letter in the alphabet, hence 'HH' or 88
Saling is also listed in Ohio's sex offender registry as a "high risk." He was convicted for gross sexual imposition. According to a 2004 report, he faced charges for rape of a person under 13 years. He also served 40 days in jail for a domestic violence charge in 2008.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said the Ohio Athletic Commission will launch a full investigation into Saling's background.
"They're going to launch a full investigation on Monday," he said. "So that's where that's at. As far as you guys know, the policy for Strikeforce and the UFC is that kind of body art, offensive behavior, (and) offensive art is not going to be allowed.
"So that's something we went to the athlete (with). He responded, and we're going to investigate further and see what the truth is."
Saling took Saturday night's fight with Roger Bowling on short notice. He stepped in for Derek Brunson, who was denied a license in Ohio because of vision problems. Saling has a record of 8-6.

From the department of biting the hand that feeds you, Quinton Jackson complained on Twitter about the UFC and said his next fight in the UFC will be his last.
"I feel sorry for my next opponent, no matter who or what it is," Jackson wrote via Twitter. "I will fight whoever they put in front of me ? I always have ? but it will be my last fight in the UFC. I have other things on my mind. I didn't say I would be done fighting; I just said I'm not fighting for the UFC (u fight cheap)."
Jackson's most recent salary information was from UFC 96 in 2009, where he made $325,000. It doesn't count locker room bonuses, sponsorship money or a cut of the pay-per-view. As a headliner, it's likely Jackson's contract calls for pay-per-view money.
To review, the UFC stood by Jackson as he went on a hit-and-run driving rampage, as he took a break from fighting to film "The A-Team" plus do all the publicity required for the movie, during the many times he treated media like a punching bag, and when he insulted their own color commentator and another fighter working as an analyst.
Before UFC 144, the UFC's doctor sent him to an age specialist, who gave him testosterone therapy and helped make him healthy enough to fight and enjoy himself more in the bedroom.
There are fighters who have a legitimate reason to be unhappy with their pay and treatment by the UFC. Jackson is not one of them.
