Johnson: IndyCar should quit ovals

Jimmie Johnson believes IndyCar should abandon racing on ovals and instead focus on road and street courses following the accident that claimed the life of Dan Wheldon in the series finale at Las Vegas last Sunday. Speaking at Charlotte Motor Speedway during a NASCAR test, the five-time Sprint Cup champion also expressed his sorrow at the death of Wheldon in the 15-car pile-up. "[I'm] extremely sad to see what took place yesterday in the [IndyCar] race," said Johnson.
